Titan Investing Apps has created a short-term investing app for mobile phones and tablets that helps users to create portfolios based on the stock market, stock quotes and the market cap of the companies involved.
The app uses an algorithm to pick stocks that are expected to rise in value over time, based on how the market is expected to perform, said a press release.
Titan invests in a number of sectors including consumer, energy, financial services, technology, energy infrastructure and media.
For example, the app recommends Apple’s AAPL, +0.35% and Microsoft Corp MSFT, +1.26% as the safest bets.
Titan also advises investors to look for low-cost and low-growth stocks.
These include companies that have a low average return, a low risk-adjusted return and are highly valued for their share price, said the release.
Investors also can choose from a list of stock quotes that offer a look at the company’s history and market outlook, and buy or sell stocks based on their price and historical performance.
As well as stocks, the Titan app also suggests some low-risk and high-return companies.
For example, it advises investors not to buy or invest in companies that are listed as being on the S&P 500 Index, said Titan’s press release, adding that it’s best to avoid these companies.
Investment managers can also create their own short-to-medium-term portfolios, or even short-long-term ETFs, based around the stock quotes, the release said.
For example a Titan investor could invest in Apple AAPL +0:06% , which is a popular tech stocks in the tech sector, and use the app to create a short term stock portfolio based on Apple’s market cap.
